HBay Water

More Nature, Better Living

Artisan Water from New Zealand’s Hawke’s Bay

Hawke’s Bay sets a good table. HBay is the water from beneath it.

Orchards, vineyards and long lunches on the east coast of the North Island. HBay Natural Artesian Water is bottled in Hastings and carried to tables across New Zealand.

No surface water is used. HBay is 100% bottled at the source, where natural pressure brings the water up from below.

Our Water

Rising from beneath the Heretaunga Plains

Rivers and changing coastlines laid down layers of gravel and fine sediment across Hawke’s Bay. The Ngaruroro River is a major source of recharge for the underground gravels.

Where groundwater is confined beneath less permeable layers, natural pressure can make it rise. That is the artesian condition.

A landscape shaped by time

250,000 years of natural formation.

The Heretaunga Plains developed over some 250,000 years as river gravels, sand, silt and clay were laid down. That figure describes the landscape, not the age of the water.
